Many of you may have never heard of Kansas City Voices, a literary magazine with art, published once a year by Whispering Prairie Press.
I know about it because I’m on the board of Whispering Prairie Press and have had quite an education, seeing the behind the scenes of publishing. Putting out a literary journal takes a lot of work and a lot of people. So if you’ve ever submitted your work to a journal and been rejected and fumed because the people didn’t know what they were doing, trust me. Most literary journals work hard at knowing.
So here’s a chance to try putting your writing out there again. Kansas City Voices is open for submissions of poetry, prose, and visual art. Here’s our info.
Kansas City Voices is currently in an open submissions period. Please submit your poetry, prose and/or visual art for our Tenth Anniversary edition by March 15, 2012.
